Okay, I am being shallow. It isn’t just Some RV Park, it’s Fiesta Grande RV Resort, in Casa Grande, AZ. If you ever go there, you can play pickleball, swim at the pool, do horseshoes, and (a couple of times monthly) attend some sort of vendor market.
It’s the sort of place people stay for months at a time, to avoid harsh winter — or just to enjoy sunshine. Some folks live there year-round (but might escape to cooler climes during the summer monsoon). Maybe we will live here someday! (Or someplace like it). I dunno.
But we were here because we have family who lives here, and we were long overdue for a visit, and it was a win-win proposition — see the fam, and experience Arizona in the winter, when people were intended to experience it.
When we hooked up, I had a little trouble with the cable TV attachment. The pedestal offered up a 75-ohm, coaxial, male connection. I am used to encountering female connections (just don’t say anything). But no. So I needed some sort of coupling device, which I suppose I am supposed to know if I’ve been out RV-parking a lot, but I didn’t know. To visit here, successfully, I needed a coupling device. Not saying anything else, except that I found one at the nearby Home Depot. Still nothing more to say.
It was fun to re-connect with family in their hometown haunts, and they tolerated us even after Wally made a disgusting mess at their house. And there were also local highlights.
So, Casa Grande. It’s completely okay! I could spend a lifetime there. And it sort of felt like I did. (Just kidding, fam!).
Next stop: Catalina State Park, near Tucson. Soon.

Hi Pat! No, we are back home, pacing around the house like everyone else. We took this trip in December/January/February, and I’m just now getting around to sharing our adventure. Next time we head south we’ll stop for a month in Sebastopol. Well, maybe a week.

The hits just keep coming!

It doesn’t feel like a hit parade. Maybe more a series of b-side filler tracks. But it’s fun to look at the pix and remember when we could roam wild and free.
