Today we took some of the new stuff out to Toto. It’s a long journey. First we have to grapple with the sliding patio door. What a struggle! Once that’s open it’s a good 23 feet down to the corner of the house where we can make the run southward toward Toto.
A dozen steps farther before we’re at Toto’s curbside door. Unlock the latch lock. Unlock the deadbolt.
Note: this pair of locks doesn’t seem arranged properly. I have to think about it each time I go to open the trailer, and then I have to think again when I lock the door. But maybe this is good… exercising my brain and whatnot.
There’s a cold snap about, so by the time we get through this routine we’re shivering. But there is more stuff to bring out to Toto.
What new stuff? Birthday and Christmas presents (all cleverly placed on my Amazon wish list). A Cairn Terrier dish towel and potholder set (every Toto needs these). A manual coffee grinder
and small Aeropress coffeemaker
(these are nifty). Some fabulous pillows that we gave to each other to celebrate Solstice (they match the cornices). Some preposterously comfortable camp chairs (padded, no less) and ottomans (padded, indeed). Ottomen? No, ottomans. Odd, that.
Following is daring.
